Welcome to Troop 70!

Welcome to Troop 70, Newtown, CT! Chartered by the Cullens Youth Association, we are the oldest Troop in Newtown, and are thankful to have a nature preserve as our "home site".

Troop 70 is proud to carry on a Scouting tradition that balances a love for adventure and new experiences with the important tasks of character development and youth leadership. The Troop, Committee, and Scoutmasters work hard to maintain high standards of behavior, advancement, and duty. Uniform inspections, flag ceremonies, and regular instruction in all areas of scouting are a regular part of troop activities and meetings.

Troop 70 is also pleased to offer activities that can challenge Scouts at any age and level, from local camping, canoeing, and hiking to SCUBA diving and backcountry high adventure camps.
